IN THE POLLS

UCLA (18-7, 9-3) is unranked in the AP Top 25 and the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll (Feb. 7) and received eight votes in the coaches poll and 32 in the AP poll. The Stanford Cardinal (13-11, 6-7) are unranked in both polls, and didn't receive any votes in either poll.

SERIES VS. STANFORD

This is the 225th meeting between UCLA and Stanford with the Bruins leading the series 134-90 (.598). UCLA has won eight of the last 10 meetings, including posting a 68-57 victory over Stanford in Pauley Pavilioin earlier this season (Jan. 22). Last year, the Bruins split the season series with the Cardinal with each team winning on its home floor. Stanford posted a 70-59 victory on Jan. 9, 2010 in Maples Pavilion. Jeremy Green scored 17 of his career-high 30 points in the first half and Landry Fields added 16 points and seven rebounds to lead the Cardinal at home last season. Nikola Dragovic scored 13 points and Michael Roll had 12 for UCLA. In this year's earlier matchup, Malcolm Lee scored 23 points and UCLA overcame a 14-point first-half deficit to beat Stanford. Lazeric Jones added 17 points, Tyler Honeycutt scored 16 points and Reeves Nelson had 10 rebounds for the Bruins. Josh Owens had 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Jeremy Green added 12 points for the Cardinal. UCLA Head Coach Ben Howland is 10-6 against Stanford and 3-4 against the Cardinal on the road.


BRUINS' INJURY REPORT

Lazeric Jones sprained his left wrist in the second half of the Bruins' home win over USC (Feb. 2). He finished the game and was taken for X-Rays immediately after the contest. The X-Rays were negative. He had four points and three assists against Oregon State (Feb. 12). Brendan Lane's grandmother, Adelija Banevicius, passed away at the age of 82 the morning of UCLA's win over St. John's (Feb. 5) where she lived in Westborough, MA. He missed the Oregon game, but had five points and six boards vs. Oregon State (Feb. 12).
