Mesa senior point guard Jahii Carson said in an e-mail that he will try to make his college decision "around December."

The early signing period for basketball is November.

Will he wait until the spring to sign? Will let you know later.

Anyway, after a strong showing last week in Oregon, where he averaged 23 points and six assists in three games for USA Midwest in the Nike Basketball Global Challenge, Carson said these schools have amped up the recruiting with him the most: Arizona State, Arizona, Washington, UCLA, Alabama, UNLV and Marquette.

"I won't say there are any leaders just yet," he wrote.
