UCLA's Norman Powell, Kevon Looney Secure All-District Acclaim

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - UCLA’s Norman Powell and Kevon Looney have secured second-team NABC All-District 20 acclaim, as announced by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) on Friday.
Powell concluded his senior season as UCLA’s leading scorer, averaging 16.4 points per game, the sixth-highest average among Pac-12 players. He also registered 4.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.8 steals per game.
Looney ranked second in the Pac-12 with a team-leading 9.2 rebounds per game, the second-highest rebounding average among freshmen in the nation. He closed his freshman campaign having averaged 11.6 points, 1.4 assists, 0.9 blocks and 1.3 steals per game.
The NABC's first-team all-district selections included Arizona’s T.J. McConnell and Stanley Johnson, Oregon’s Joseph Young, Stanford’s Chasson Randle and Utah’s Delon Wright.
Joining Powell and Looney as second-team all-district selections included California’s Tyrone Wallace, Colorado’s Askia Booker and Oregon State’s Gary Payton II.
UCLA closed the 2014-15 season with a 22-14 overall record, advancing to the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet 16 for the second consecutive season and for the fifth time in the last 10 years.
