That explains it
I had this feeling Saturday that Reeves Nelson was not himself during the game against Cal. Turns out he banged noggins with Cal big-man Markhuri Sanders-Frison early in the game. Reeves probably out two days. Get well soon, big guy.

Freshman forward Reeves Nelson said he suffered a concussion on his first touch of the game, but told trainers he was fine and continued playing.
"Me and the big guy (Markhuri Sanders-Frison) head-butted the first time I got the ball," Nelson said. "The doctor said it was a concussion so I'm going to have to be out for a few days. I was lying to the trainers just to stay in the game. Obviously I didn't play as well as I would have liked but I tried to stay in there for the team."
UCLA head coach Ben Howland said in his post-game press conference that he was giving the players two days off to rest, but Nelson said he might need additional time.
"They said it's a day-to-day thing," Nelson said. "I'm definitely going to take the two days off that the team gets and maybe I'll be able to practice Tuesday but I'm not sure."
Nelson had six points on 2-of-5 shooting and two free throws, a far cry from his team-high 18-point performance in Thursday's win over Stanford.
